“I remember the earliest events and shows at the CAC, it was in the early 1990's at that time the CAC was located on the corner of Marylanf Pkwy, and Flamingo. It was a space within a smaller shopping center. And, I think at present there is a Middle Eastern restaurant there."
“At that time there had been a few people that were organizing and trying to create show, events, etc, which were usually held at local nightclubs, coffee-house's or privately rented locations.”
“As I recall the CAC was one of the first and only venues to showcase the newly emerging LV art scene on a regular monthly basis, it was great! Everyone was accepted, appreciated, and shown! At that time the membership was much more condensed, it felt like a small family of artists, poets, writers, and performers.”
“Each month there was something cool and new to see. Many of the shows were curated by different artists/ members. These were usually group exhibitions with a featured theme. It was great to be at the monthly opening. And, everyone would be brainstorming and making plans for next months show!”
“Since that time the CAC had changed locations several times. Membership grew, board members changed, and so did the LV art scene!”
“As a Las Vegas native of more that fifty years, it's been an amazing and at times strange experience to watch the process of the LV art scene. But through it all I believe that certain groups, individuals, and organizations have generated, fueled, and helped to establish an artistic profile in Las Vegas. I feel the CAC is one of them.”
“Experiencing the local art movement for the past twenty or so years, has been like a continual birth and rebirthing process. New changes, different places, ideas, and people. And, through it all the CAC has grown and become a major role and cornerstone of the Las Vegas cultural dynamic. Thank you, CAC!!!”

The CAC has put together an Indigogo campaign called 'Build the Circle,' that is raising money to create a new member's gallery and reading room at the CAC's space in the Arts Factory. The campaign will also carry activities in the community forward throughout the rest of the year.
You can support the CAC and receive perks such as a glow-in-the-dark vintage CAC T-shirt, or a new one-of-a-kind T-shirt design. You can opt to have your name featured as a contributor on the CAC's Facebook page or website, or you can have your name/ company's name and logo displayed on the wall of the member's gallery for a year, as a champion of the new space!
