UNLV College of Fine Arts & the School of Architecture invite you to attend the 1st lecture for the Fall 2016 Klai Juba Wald Lecture series at the UNLV Design Center at 5:30pm Friday September 2nd. featuring Larry Scarpa.The work of Larry Scarpa and his frim Brooks+Scarpa has redefined the role of the architect to produce some of the most remarkable and exploratory work today. Over the last ten years Mr. Scarpa has received over fifty major design awards including 19 national AIA Awards, record houses, record interiors, The Rudy Bruner Prize, Five AIA Committee on the Environment "Top Ten Green Building: Awards" and the world Habitat Award. One of ten firms selected worldwide. He has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Interior Design Magazine. In 2010, this firm Brooks+Scarpa (formerly Pughiscarpa) was awarded the State of California and National American Institute of Architects Architecture firm award.
Following the lecture will be the closing reception for "inPROCESS" exhibition located at the CAC Gallery.The exhibition highlights students’ work from the Spring 2016 semester from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Arizona, North Dakota State University, and University of Utah.
