C.A.C. has a dynamic history of promoting contemporary art through avant-garde exhibitions and educational programs within the Las Vegas arts community.
In 1989 Instructors and students of the then-newly formed Department of Fine Arts at UNLV formed C.A.C. to providing a venue for students to share ideas and concepts and exhibit their art work. This idea proved so successful that in 1993 the C.A.C. became a non-profit organization to further expand the promotion of contemporary art through outstanding exhibitions featuring both, local as well as out of state artists and educational programs.
C.A.C. has been recognized by The Las Vegas Review Journal Staff at the “2007 Best Art Gallery in Las Vegas” and by City Life Magazine as one of Las Vegas’ Local Heroes in 2006.
C.A.C. is located in the Arts Factory, the heart of 18b The Las Vegas Arts District.
